So what a trip that was. Across country with two cars, two boys, two birds and a 100 pd. dog. We made sure to have a fun trip and enjoyed all the stops along the way. But now that we are here it sure is nice to have a place to call home.
So many things to do and places to go here. We are ready to expand and see it all. After being cooped up on an island for 2 years we are now feeling set free.
Boys are getting ready for soccer and school. Should be a fun way to meet people and get settled in. We are loving the area and weather and all things Washington. Really a nice change. And we love the 4 seasons and really miss the cooler weather. So this is just what we all needed. The boys are really ready for the snow. I can tell we will be busy this winter with all the fun in the snow planned.
The dog has already lost a ton of weight running the yard and chasing deer off the land. Who would have thought I would also be running them off. They like to eat my flowers and I can't have that. When we first got here I was followed by a baby raccoon and had to get him to the shelter as his mom abandoned him. Sweet little thing but not a pet.
So I will be off on an adventure seeking out all the yarn shops and venturing in to all the little towns and seeing what is here. I have already met a wonderful friend from Ravelry Sticksnstones and we had a lovely time going around Poulsbo. Really nice to geet to meet new friends and feel welcome. I have a few more to meet up with and then I want to have a get together at the house. Have a big day of fun.
Can't wait. Such a lovely area and the people are just awesome!!! How did I get so lucky? :)

Its not only the place which is lovely I reckon you always find the brighter side of life
